Home again, home again, jiggety jig...

 
Came home from the (re)wedding in Indiana --we left here Friday morning and got back late today afternoon-- and the first thing I did (after picking up bird pieces from the stove room floor) was check the garden.

For dinner tonight we had green tomatoes & cucumbers breaded and fried in bacon grease, and steamed broccoli. Tomorrow I'll fry two more big green tomatoes and do something with this head of cabbage, and tomorrow or the next day we'll have three more ripe cucumbers (I have plans for a cucumber salad).

This time of year I could easily become a vegetarian...
