Figured out the "trick:"

Measure carefully and accurately, then
Cut carefully and accurately, then
Sew carefully and accurately.

I did these in the order the BOM gives them, and I can see how each one is an improvement over the one before.

Note the darker blue patches in Jan. & March? I don't have enough of the flowered blue material to do the whole thing, so I'm sticking those in here and there. I think it looks crappy. Next time I'll buy material special for the project, but this is my first one and I'll use what I have on hand.
