7200 steps

1030AM (yesterday) and I have multiple irons in the fire.

For one thing the literal FIRE went out over night so now I'm babysitting it while it starts again. I have a pot of water on the stove boiling, because we're still on a boil water advisory. Bob's getting ready to take a shower.

Bob's in the shower, washer and dryer both finished, phone is ringing. I have taken out one trash bag, need to deal with the other one; fed the cats but still haven't dealt with litter boxes. Most of the dirty dishes are now washed and in the drainer. Neither bed has sheets on, and one is covered in laundry, which is clean and for the most part folded & ready to put away.

Bob's doing REAL WELL, handling the shower almost without any help at all, I supported him while he stepped in, but he leaned over and checked the water temperature and adjusted it himself. I'll have to rinse his hair, but this is a huge improvement.

...and now it's 24 hours later, and to my amazement I took over 7200 steps yesterday. (10,000/day is my goal) Perhaps I got a physical boost as well as the emotional one from my candidate winning re-election. Perhaps I just remembered to clip the step-counter on first thing in the morning.

After the strong start Bob slowed down over the course of the day, still short of breath and had not one but two therapist hours, back to back, by sundown he was down too. Now he's still in bed, and will probably rest most of the day. That's how it goes, a good day then one to recover.

Mentally he's all here again, what a relief! That was the toughest challenge. Now all we have to work on is the physical.

Sorry, it's been awhile since I've checked in.
Glad to hear Bob is doing better! That's terrific and must come as a huge relief for you.

Take care!
