According to weather.com, our storm is going to begin with snow at midnight, switch to snow + sleet at 3AM, change to "light freezing rain" at 9AM, "light wintry mix" at noon, freezing rain from 3 to 6PM... sigh... more of the same for a while.
There's a "winter storm warning" in effect, which says, among other helpful hints,
"DOWNED POWER LINES... TREES... OR TREE LIMBS... COULD RESULT FROM THE WEIGHT OF THE ICE. RESIDENTS SHOULD PREPARE FOR POSSIBLE EXTENDED POWER OUTAGES. TRAVEL COULD ALSO BE EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.
Whoopie.
One of these years I'm going to have to quit putting off buying a generator.
