Outrageous
Sometimes I have to wonder if I don't enjoy the reading about knitting more than the knitting itself. I spend so much time looking at blogs and groups and lists... There's this sense of *community* that I don't get from just the knitting (though it's plenty gratifying to create, and keeping my hands busy keeps away the anxiety). Maybe because I've always been an introvert, uncomfortable in social situations, always finding it easier to write my mind than to speak it, and now I find myself part of something so much larger --imagine! all these people share an interest with me! Me!-- The fact it's a closed community (non-knitters just don't "get" us knitters) and for once I'm on the inside instead of out. Honestly, this weekend I've spent easily five times as many minutes with my hands on the keyboard as on actual sticks & string. Anyone else? Or is it just me?
