I've got a case of startitis. Instead of finishing up old projects...
Yesterday while lost on Ravelry I finally followed one of the top ten links to "my so-called scarf" and was captivated by the pattern. Since I'm still stashbusting I reached for the closest variegated orphan and came up with a camouflage sock yarn; the rest is predictable. I'm a couple inches into a scarf for a child (or his bear).
So, predictably while digging through orphans and small quantities, the coral regia silk jumped up and waved at me; of course I couldn't put her back. Newly proud of getting the figure-eight toe down pat (one hopes), I grabbed a set of #2 dpns and cast on for socks. Or footies. The picture on the ball band indicates I'd need another 50gm ball on top of the two I have for socks, but I'm not going to let that stop me starting.
To be fair, I am working on the WIPs. Aranmor is an inch deep into the body and the 2nd green sock has a complete toe.
I may cast on a teeshirt of the moda dea eclipse (that's what I bought it for!) before the week is over. I'll go top-down. The green sox were supposed to be for me but the foot is more th'Mr's size, so I'll have to get more wool-ease (so I can work with them as template) before he wears them.
