holiday weekend

Worked all last weekend... M - T - W - Th - F - S - S - M - T - W - Th eleven ten-hour days in a row, and now a four-day Labor Day weekend to round it out. Th'Mr came to WV last Sunday (oh yeah, that's right, I took Monday off) and stayed in the hotel with me a couple nights; the object being to get my check to the bank here at home before shit starts bouncing. That was a success.

This weekend I've finished a couple projects but unfortunately I'm swatching for another, fingerless gloves for Mom in lavender Jawoll. I may make a "practice" pair for myself in olive green Mary Maxim first (yet more yarn so old it has no bar code), but after finally finishing the mustard-yellow blanket buddy I'm sort of tired of knitting with colors I don't like.

The modular jacket is for grandnephew's Black Bear, who has seen better days. I think the jacket will be too big, but as Q and BB are 250 miles away I won't know till someone tells me. It was good practice. The pattern is from Elizabeth Zimmermann's Knitting Without Tears.

Shorty's having a cute moment :) ...as if she ever has uncute moments (not).
